The General High School of Neapolis participates in a European Philosophy Project
This year, students at the General Lyceum of Neapolis have a unique opportunity to participate in a European educational program. As part of the Philosophy course, the school is taking part in an international project dedicated to Philosophy, an institution that originated in ancient Greece and continues to inspire students and teachers throughout Europe.
In addition to Greece, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, and Georgia are also participating in the program, offering students the opportunity to learn about different cultural approaches and develop intercultural skills through philosophical dialogue. The project is being implemented by Antonis Michailidis, a teacher at the school.
Through their participation in the program, students will have the opportunity to interact with their peers from other European countries, exchange views, develop their critical thinking, and learn about different ways of approaching fundamental philosophical issues.
The project aims not only to broaden students’ knowledge, but also to cultivate dialogue and cooperation, values that are at the core of European and philosophical tradition. Using modern digital tools, participants will communicate and collaborate online, creating joint projects and presentations.
Philosophy, which originated in our region, continues to inspire and unite European students through dialogue and thought, cultivating not only active citizenship, but also free citizenship — people who think independently, respects diversity, and participates responsibly in shaping the common good.
